Why are some sites named Truckstop?

You may have noticed that some fuel stations appear to have 2 diesel prices listed. Typically, one is a proprietary diesel described as "premium" and is sold under brand names such as "Ultimate diesel" and "Vortex diesel".

The other diesel offered is labelled "truck" or "regular" diesel. This is often from a high-flow bowser, suitable for trucks. The nozzle at these pumps may not fit a passenger vehicle.

The price of "regular" or "truck" diesel sold at these service stations have been labelled with "Truckstop" in their name.

If you are ever in doubt, we recommend calling the station before departing to confirm you can use the pumps there. You can find the phone number of a fuel station on the FuelWatch website by resting your mouse over the site's name.
