FuelWatch RSS

What is FuelWatch RSS?

FuelWatch RSS is another way of accessing FuelWatch prices. Now, in addition to the FuelWatch website, the free daily e-mail service, and the telephone service, you can also access your prices from your desktop or other web pages. There are more details at http://www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au/about/feedInfo.cfm

RSS? What's that?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication - it's just another way of delivering information. Think of the Internet as a bakery. When you are hungry (or want some information), you go to your favourite bakery, and get what you want. RSS is a kind of home delivery service - instead of you having to always go to the bakery, instead they deliver delicious pastries (or information) to you!

Should I use FuelWatch RSS?

Probably not. If you haven't heard of RSS before, we aren't the best place to start. RSS is still a pretty technical concept - and at this point, we are only trialling the technology out. We're hoping that some of our more technically minded users will give it a try, and help us develop it more. If enough people use it, we'll look at improving it and finding ways we can use it to improve our services.

Where can I find out more details?
